Skin Care Summer – 3 steps to beautiful skin

With summer approaching and temperatures already rising, people spend more time outdoors “sun” and enjoy the beauty of nature. But besides the need for sun protection, there are other considerations for a healthy and radiant skin. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) offers the following tips:

1. Use sunscreen

According to the CDC “ultraviolet (UV) rays tends to be highest during the summer months.” Therefore, with more people spending more hours in case of direct exposure, the need for sunscreen is even greater.

The CDC says, “The UV exposure seems most important environmental factor in developing skin cancer.” It is essential that you take skin care seriously – not just your arms and shoulders but on your face as well. Consider using the foundations and moisturizers with sunscreen at least SPF 15. The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Foundation SPF 25 is formulated with, and comes in different shades depending on your complexion.

2. Repellent saves lives

Just a little spritz of insect repellent could mean the difference between healthy skin happy, and hospitalization. Cases of West Nile virus and Lyme disease are more common this time of year.

The CDC says that West Nile virus is transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes. “Mosquitoes are most active at dusk and dawn.” Long sleeves and indoor activities during periods of peak exposure can reduce your risk of infection.

For animal lovers, the CDC recommends “to verify that you and your pet against ticks before going indoors.” And always use an insect repellent approved by the EPA.

3. Scrub up!

“Wash your face with soap or mild detergent and water in the morning, evening, and after exercise.” Cleaners clear your pores and help prevent oil and dust accumulation, this which leads to acne. Use a cleanser that suits your skin type. The skin is oily can do well with a cleaner more astringent, like tea tree oil. Dry or sensitive skin need something softer, like a soothing aloe or vitamin E infused cleanser to help nourish and protect skin, too.

Follow the advice of your mother and wash their hands before and after activities. Disinfection of hands / wash regularly will reduce the spread of germs, colds and infections. Shower after swimming off clean your skin of salt and chemicals from the pool.

With these 3 simple steps, your skin will be radiant, healthy and radiant. Moreover, reducing the risk of infection, skin cancer and other skin conditions, your skin will be glowing for years to come.
